Privacy Policy

What personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Effective October 15, 2026 VoiceCheq Inc.
Section 01

Who we are and the short version

VoiceCheq Inc. ("VoiceCheq," "we," "us") is a Delaware corporation based in New York, NY. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the VoiceCheq app or visit voicecheq.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

VoiceCheq lets you send money to people you know by saying how much and who to pay. Payments, balances and bank transfers are provided by our payments partner, Bridge. VoiceCheq is available only to adults (18+) who live in the United States, including U.S. territories. It is not currently available to residents of New York or Texas.

The short version

Voice

Voice never sends money on its own.

Every payment is shown on a confirmation screen and needs your Face ID approval before it goes.

Recordings

We don't keep your voice recordings.

Your voice request is processed by our voice provider, ElevenLabs, to work out the amount and who to pay. VoiceCheq doesn't store the audio or a transcript.

Financial details

Sensitive financial details go straight to Bridge.

Your Social Security number and bank account numbers pass through our servers to Bridge and are not stored by VoiceCheq.

Face ID

Your face never reaches us.

Face ID is handled by your iPhone. We receive only a signed approval for each payment.

Ads & tracking

No ads, no tracking, no selling.

We don't sell personal information, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers in the app or on our website.

Deletion

You can delete your account in the app.

Under Settings → Delete account (see section 6).

Section 02

Information we collect

Account information

  • Email and password. If you sign up with email, your password is stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider. We never see it.
  • Sign in with Apple or Google. We receive your name and email from Apple or Google, and from Google your profile picture address. If you choose Apple's Hide My Email, we receive a private relay address instead of your real email.
  • Name and username. The display name and @username you choose. You can change both in the app.
  • Profile photo (optional). A photo you choose to upload. It is resized on your phone and stored with our hosting provider.

People you add

When you add someone to People, we store the name you give them, their email address or VoiceCheq @username, and an optional nickname. We don't access your phone's address book.

Voice requests

When you tap the microphone, the app records your request and streams it to our voice provider, ElevenLabs, which works out the amount and the name you said. Section 3 explains this in detail.

Identity verification

To use payments, U.S. law requires that your identity be verified. You'll be asked:

  • Your state or territory of residence, so we can tell you if VoiceCheq is available where you live.
  • To verify your identity with Didit, our verification provider. Didit collects photos of your government-issued ID and, where the check requires it, a selfie or face scan to confirm the ID is yours. From Didit we receive the results and the details on your ID: legal name, date of birth, address, document type, number and issuing country, and links to the ID images. We don't receive or store your selfie or face scan.
  • Your Social Security number, which we pass to Bridge for its own verification. We don't store it.

Bank, balance and payment information

  • Your linked bank account. The routing and account numbers you enter pass through our servers to Bridge. We keep only Bridge's reference to the account, not the numbers.
  • Deposit details. The bank details Bridge issues you for adding money. These are shown to you in the app.
  • Your balance, which we read from Bridge when you open the app rather than storing it ourselves.
  • Payment records: who you paid or were paid by, amounts, the VoiceCheq fee, dates, status, and Bridge's references for each payment, deposit and cash-out.

Face ID approvals

When you set up Face ID in VoiceCheq, your iPhone creates a security key that never leaves the phone and can only be used after Face ID (or Touch ID on older iPhones) recognizes you. We store the matching public key so our servers can check that each payment was approved on your phone. Apple's system does the face matching; VoiceCheq never receives your face data.

Phone permissions

  • Microphone: used only while you're making a voice request.
  • Face ID: used to approve payments, as above.
  • Photos: used only when you choose a profile photo. We receive only the photo you pick.

Technical information

Our hosting and security providers keep standard server logs, such as IP address, time, and the request made, to run and protect the service. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software.

When you contact us

If you email us, we keep your message, your email address and our reply so we can help you.

Section 03

How voice payments work

Voice is how you start a payment. It never sends money on its own. Here's what happens when you use it:

  1. You tap the microphone. The app listens only while you're making the request, and you can see when it's listening.
  2. Your voice goes to ElevenLabs. Your audio is streamed to ElevenLabs, our voice provider. ElevenLabs and the language model it runs turn your words into text, work out the amount and the name you said, and speak a short reply back to you.
  3. Your phone finds the person. The app matches the name or nickname you said against your People list on your phone. Your People list is not sent to ElevenLabs. If the name fits more than one person, the app asks you which one you mean. It never guesses.
  4. You check the details. The app shows a confirmation card with the person, their @username or email, and the amount.
  5. You approve with Face ID. Nothing is sent until you approve the payment with Face ID on your phone.
  6. Bridge moves the money. Once you approve, we send the payment instruction to Bridge.

VoiceCheq doesn't save your voice recordings or transcripts. We keep only the payment itself (see section 2). ElevenLabs processes your audio to provide the service and may keep records of the conversation for a limited time under its own terms and privacy policy. ElevenLabs doesn't receive your People list, your balance, your bank details or your identity documents.

If you'd rather not use your voice, you can send money by choosing a person and typing an amount instead.

Section 04

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • create and run your account, and sign you in;
  • verify your identity and where you live, as the law and our payments partner require;
  • take your voice requests and turn them into payments you approve;
  • send, receive, add and cash out money through Bridge, and show you your balance and history;
  • check that each payment was approved with Face ID on your phone;
  • prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorized access, and keep the service secure;
  • send you emails about your account, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password;
  • answer your questions and fix problems;
  • meet our legal, tax and regulatory obligations, and enforce our terms.

We don't use your information for advertising, we don't build marketing profiles, and we don't sell it.

What other VoiceCheq users can see

  • When someone looks you up. If someone enters your email or @username to add you, they can see whether you have a VoiceCheq account, whether you can receive payments yet, and your first name.
  • Your profile photo. If you upload a photo, it's shown to people who add you by your @username. Photos are stored at web addresses that aren't easy to guess, but anyone who has the address can open it. Photos you didn't upload yourself, such as your Google picture, aren't shown to anyone.
  • When you pay someone. The person you pay sees your name and the amount in their history.
  • Your @username is visible to anyone who searches for it.

Other users never see your email address unless they already have it, and never see your balance, bank details, identity documents or anyone else in your People list. Nicknames you give people are visible only to you.

Section 05

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run VoiceCheq, and only what each one needs:

Company What they receive Why
Bridge Your name, email, date of birth, address, Social Security number, ID details, bank account and routing numbers, and your payment instructions Bridge is our payments partner. It verifies your identity, holds your balance, and moves money between you, other users and your bank.
Didit Photos of your ID, a selfie or face scan if the check requires it, and the details on your ID To verify your identity
ElevenLabs The audio of your voice requests and what you say in them To understand your request and reply to you by voice
Supabase Everything stored in your VoiceCheq account Hosting, database, sign-in and file storage
Resend Your email address and the content of account emails To send account emails
Apple What Apple already has when you use Sign in with Apple; Apple's private relay forwards our emails if you chose Hide My Email Sign-in and email relay
Google What Google already has when you use Continue with Google Sign-in
Cloudflare Standard web traffic data, such as IP address, when you visit voicecheq.com Running and protecting our website

Each of these companies processes your information under its own privacy policy and its agreements with us. Bridge and Didit are also legally required to keep some records themselves (see section 6).

Payments on the blockchain

Bridge holds balances as USDC, a dollar-backed digital currency, on the Solana blockchain. When money moves between wallets, the transfer, its amount and the wallet addresses may be recorded on that public blockchain. Your name, email and other personal details are never written to the blockchain.

We may also share information:

  • when the law requires it, such as in response to a valid subpoena or court order, or to report suspected fraud or financial crime;
  • to protect people, including our users and the public, from harm or fraud;
  • if VoiceCheq is sold or merged, with the buyer, who must keep honoring this policy for the information it receives;
  • with your permission, for anything else.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Section 06

Where it's stored, how long we keep it, and deleting your account

Where it's stored

Your VoiceCheq account is stored in the United States. Some of our providers may process information in other countries; for example, Didit, our identity verification provider, is based in the European Union. When that happens, the provider is required to protect it as described in its agreements with us.

How long we keep it

Information How long
Account details, People list and profile photo Until you delete them or your account
Identity verification details Until you delete your account, unless the law requires us to keep them longer
Payment records As long as the law and our payments partner require, including after you delete your account (without your name or other details attached)
Face ID public key Until you delete your account or set up Face ID again
Voice recordings and transcripts Not stored by VoiceCheq (see section 3)
Server logs For a limited period set by our hosting and security providers
Emails you send us As long as we need them to help you

Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app under Settings → Delete account. Before you can, any payments in progress need to finish, and your balance needs to be $0, so cash out first. If your balance is too small to cash out, email us and we'll help.

When you delete your account, we:

  • delete your profile, name, @username, profile photo, People list and linked bank account;
  • close the deposit details Bridge issued you;
  • revoke VoiceCheq's access to your Apple ID if you signed in with Apple;
  • keep your payment records without your name or other details attached, because financial law requires them, and a minimal record that an account was deleted and when.

Bridge and Didit are required by law to keep their own records of your identity verification and payments for a period after your account closes. You can contact them directly about those records.

Section 07

Security

We protect your information with:

  • encryption for all data sent between the app and our servers, and for data we store;
  • database rules that let each account read only its own information;
  • secret keys that live only on our servers, never in the app;
  • Face ID approval, checked by our servers, for every payment you send;
  • limits on repeated attempts, to slow down guessing and abuse;
  • access to personal information only for people at VoiceCheq who need it to do their job.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Section 08

Your choices and rights

  • In the app, you can see and change your name, @username, profile photo and People list, and see your payment history.
  • On your iPhone, you can turn off microphone, Face ID or photo access for VoiceCheq at any time in Settings. Without the microphone you can still pay by typing an amount, but Face ID is needed to approve payments.
  • By email, you can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask about how we use it.

Depending on the state you live in, you may have further rights under state privacy laws, including the right to appeal if we turn down a request. We'll respond within the time the law requires, and we may need to confirm your identity first. You can use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

Because we don't sell your information, share it for advertising or track you across apps and websites, there's nothing to opt out of there.

Section 09

Children

VoiceCheq is only for adults 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we'll close the account and delete the information, except what the law requires us to keep.

Section 10

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
